“Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful” Colossians 4:2 

What a beautiful verse that assures us that perfect health is available to those who spend time with God. This is for sure the best health coverage/insurance policy you can get in this life.This policy requires 3 things that we would have to do consistently and patiently. 

PRAYER - Praying without ceasing is the art of saying a prayer through your day at consistent intervals with an attitude of humility and love, intentionally believing in the answer to come. It may require us to designate a space or time and the obedience to pray every time the Holy Spirit nudges us to do so. So give praying to God an undisputed place in your life, take all to Him for all is important to Him who loves us. 

WATCHFUL - Every well trained guard dog barks at the sign of danger as it is watchful of its surroundings and its master’s call, while we humans fail to notice the evil that grows around and within us. Pride, envy, selfishness, lust slowly step into our lives and instead of being watchful we let it go while it takes control of our lives. We need to be watchful of what we see, hear and do, always training ourselves through His word. 

THANKFUL - Gratitude enables us to grow in humility. It requires courage to say thank you to God and others when we know what they have done for us. We need to get out of our comfort zones and say thank you. It could be a call, a note, a word of appreciation, a like, a post share, all it needs is an action that comes from one’s heart leading to peace and love. We need to show gratitude to our God for every single thing He has done in our lives . This thankfulness comes from a deep relationship with God and love for others. 

PRAY,WATCH,THANK are the 3 steps in you need to keep your life and health in check and all of the world’s research on psychology and mindfulness will bring you back to Colossians 4:2. As you go through this day, start looking for things you can change and live the  simple cycle of PRAY,WATCH, THANK and then go on REPEAT till the day you will see Him.
